She gave my baby chocolate...

I had to walk away from my MIL before I snapped...I get home from work today to her telling me "oh the baby had his first taste of chocolate today" I was like "whhhaaaat?" And she goes on to say he was watching her as she ate some cake and so she gave him a taste of the frosting. I just got done being disgusted at a member here who gave her baby a cupcake and the next day this happens?? I dont know how to go about this with her without snapping...is my baby going to be ok??

    I was just talking to my mil about the whole cupcake thing n she said chocolate is not good for babies just like it aint for dogs... I hope it was a lick n not a feeding. Poor Zorian :( r u gona tell Jose???

    @mrz_jackson2anpreggo I sure hope so because if he gets sick I'd be worried if I was her! ...not to mention the fact that she knows he hasnt pooped since Wed and still introduces something new to his tummy.

    Thats true, I hope it wasnt much BC frosting is pretty thick. I would of went off on my mil if she did that. The other day she sat on the front porch with Nyla & it was cold n Nyla had no blanket no hat n when she brought her in I said that its cold out there dont bring her out there again without a blanket. Nigel said y was I acting like a bitch but I dont care BC if my daughter get sick im gettin in his ass n his moms

    Why do all guys get botherd about us talking about shit our mils do with our.kids? My mil is gonna meet val in two weeks for the first time, and she better not try taking over my roll....ill grab my shit and leave....

    @mrsthompson34 @gabbyc They are so annoying with their moms! WTF...I don't give a damn if he gets mad. A few weeks ago she sat me down and said "I want you to come to ME with any concerns instead of telling Jose to tell me" but yet when I ask her to do something or not to do something she completely disregards me...

    @mrsthompson34 No I do not give him water but I went and bought some baby apple/prune juice to mix with water that I might give to him to see if he poops. He tries to push but nothing comes out :(

    Awe I hope he poops after the juice. Hes probably really gassy & fussy??? Oh I hate when they sit u down & try to b in control of things. I cant speak to my mil if im upset about something BC no matter how nice I put it in words u can tell by my tone im pissed but at least nigel has my back. Hes supposed to im his wife he sleeps with me not his mom.

    If it was a little taste I wouldn't worry too much, just make sure she knows that it's not okay, and it's definetly not her decision to make.

    My exs mum used to do things like that... Glad we separated so I dont have to know the stupid shit she does... My new mil is great though, doesnt do anything without permission

    @juliansmommy I was fuming, my face felt hot...I have not told him, I got mad at him on Thurs so I'm spending the weekend at my parents, left before he even got home...but I'm gonna sit down and let her have it Monday. He finally pooped last night. My mom and I sat him in a warm bath and he pooped right in there lol...it was ALOT lmao

    @mrsthompson34 yeah same with me, no matter how nice I say it he says I gave his mom at "attitude"...

    @kristaf22 I just thought it was a crazy coincidence...no way I would be as irresponsible as to feed my baby a cupcake...thanks, doesn't seem like it affected his tummy.

    @armymommy damn your so lucky! I'm pretty sure if Jay and I moved his parents would follow :/. I like my bfs mom but I get pissed when she does things but I don't want to hurt her feelings so I keep it to myself. Same with his dad. He always asks when zac cab have food and I say when I say so.

    My 4 month old has tasted chocolate n he's alive n happy, your baby will be ok as long as they didn't show a bad reaction afterwards up to a few days after

    I have given my lo adult stuff BUT only me, my hubby, and my 2 best friends can give him anything... and I am strict on that but my mil and my mom wouldn't do that so Im not concerned there...

    I make sure my mil doesnt do nothing without my permission. I watch her like a hawk with my baby! I dont like the lady

    @Jessandjay, I was ecstatic when we moved. lol. My mil is the type that does what she wants with your kids and cld care less how you feel about it. She gave my now 2 yo soda when he was 7 mo & tld me that she didn't care what I thought about it. Needless to say she didn't get him w/o supervision after that.
