Has anyone had mastitis ???

Last night my nipple was hurting so so bad. I was felt like I had the WORST case of the flu with a sore malfunctioning nipple. I woke up this morning with my body hurting and a fever.. went in to my OBGYN and was diagnosed with mastitis.

HELP.. I was prescribed antibiotics but how else do I get through this. ???

    I think i remember @kristaf22 saying she had it really bad at one point...

    @ YNVTish yes I had it, it was horrible! I ran 103 fever and felt like I had the flu and my breast was red and really sore. The Dr gave me a shot and started me on antibiotics 3 times a day. I felt MUCH better the next day. I took ibuprofen and tried to rest as much as possible which isn't easy with 4 kids. I'm sure you'll feel much better tomorrow.

    @mommyx5 .. yes 4 kids over here too. Just called my honey and told him he better RUSH home before chaos breaks out. I have my 10 year old watching my 7 month old and my 7 and 19 year old have a bad bad cold.

    @YNVTish yep that sounds a lot like my house, you just take it easy and let your hubby take care of the kids, that's what I did.
