how long should i let my 3 month old nap for

I put him down for about 10 minutes ago. He cried for five minutes. Also when should i check on him? Im new to this schedule nap thing.

I let my 3.5 month old sleep when ever and for however long she wants during the day and she sleeps 9pm to 7 or 8am every night I don't know anything about scheduling naps

my sitters are complaining because he wont really nap. He sleeps from 11 to 8 sometimes he wakes earlier. @Lilliansmom

Lillian will be 4 months march 7 too! And yeah I don't really have to worry about sitters so idk sorry not much help my mil watches her and let's her sleep when she wants too.
