9 month old with a cough

What if anything can I give,my daughter for her cough & runny nose? She can barely sleep because she coughs so much

    my sons pediatrician said he could have Benadryl after six months.

    When Braiden went to the doctor for it,.then gave him some medicine that says compare to Benadryl on it..it says give .5 teaspoon by mouth every six hours. On the bottle itself (not the prescription part) it says 1 to 2 teaspoons. Hopefully ghat helps.
