And the majority of people are "speaking out" because it has become almost like a crazed fad. I'd like to know how many of these people are involved in youth programs, donate their time to soup kitchens, mentor young teens, open up their homes to those in need...sitting on your couch and crying about injustice and clicking on a computerized change.org petition doesn't accomplish anything. Nor does wearing a hood, carrying a tea and bag of skittles in the town center. Or just "agreeing" with what everyone else says.
I may speak a hell of a lot about politics, but I am actively involved in my community. I attend city meetings, Child Abuse Awareness gatherings, pro-choice rallies, tea party protests, political debates and vote on every single issue- not just the presidency. You want to talk about it online, go out and do something as well. Till then, I just really can't take you seriously. Seems like a lot of talking out of your a**es
If the treyvon Martin thing wasn't about race, there would be thousands of rallies everyday for all the people in the world getting killed everyday. I feel sorry for both of them but why does one get more attention than another???
Why does one get more attention than the other? Because there seems to be quite a double standard when it comes to racism. Someone told me today that it's okay for a black person to be racist against white people because they have a "reason to be angry". :O
