  • @captivated the media circus reminds me of the kony thing. People jump on bandwagons without knowing facts
  • Haha. Tis true. Everyone was a new poilitical activist for about a week. Now they're back to worrying about Jersey Shore and Trayvon.
  • @captivated i just read an article yesterday i forgot where. It was about people speaking out just to say they did.

  • So glad to have a mind of my own :)

    And the majority of people are "speaking out" because it has become almost like a crazed fad. I'd like to know how many of these people are involved in youth programs, donate their time to soup kitchens, mentor young teens, open up their homes to those in need...sitting on your couch and crying about injustice and clicking on a computerized change.org petition doesn't accomplish anything. Nor does wearing a hood, carrying a tea and bag of skittles in the town center. Or just "agreeing" with what everyone else says.

    I may speak a hell of a lot about politics, but I am actively involved in my community. I attend city meetings, Child Abuse Awareness gatherings, pro-choice rallies, tea party protests, political debates and vote on every single issue- not just the presidency. You want to talk about it online, go out and do something as well. Till then, I just really can't take you seriously. Seems like a lot of talking out of your a**es ;)

    @mollysmama
  • @captivated btw talking out of your ass? Awesome party trick!
  • @ArmahnisMommy what did you agree with? Id like your thoughts on this.
  • She agreed with any opinion contradicting mine @mollysmama :p And I am a very accomplished ass talker! :-))
  • If the treyvon Martin thing wasn't about race, there would be thousands of rallies everyday for all the people in the world getting killed everyday. I feel sorry for both of them but why does one get more attention than another???

    @Mollysmama thanks for posting this!!
  • Why does one get more attention than the other? Because there seems to be quite a double standard when it comes to racism. Someone told me today that it's okay for a black person to be racist against white people because they have a "reason to be angry". :O

    EEK! @starxoxo9
  • Lol @captivated I could go on and on but I don't feel like fighting with anyone lol.

    P.s. my name has 2 r's in it :P
  • Omg! I've always tagged you with one! So sorry :">

    @starRxoxo9
  • @captivated haha no worries. Luckily I'm a creeper so I always see your responses :D
  • @starrxoxi9 it is a double standard. And its just plain absurd

  • @captivated always has something smart to say, because she's pretty damn smart...just my $0.02. ;;)
  • @ArmahnisMommy if you have no opinion and just want to insult you can leave my post now. I just thought maybe you would have your own thoughts.
  • I just think people need to stop killing each other, this world is just a messed up place to be in.
  • @lilsugarsmama, aww! Thank you! :)

    ...No shame in being an intelligent, strong and opinionated woman! Join the r3VOLUTION!
  • @captivated at least you have your OWN opinion and thoughts
  • As do you! @mollysmama

    I have much respect for others that aren't afraid to voice their opinions, regardless if it doesn't agree with mine.
  • And so long as there are facts behind it and that person has made some effort to understand and know what they're talking about. ^:)^
  • @captivated it makes me laugh when people have no opinion of their own
