Not sure if I got the right link or not. This is my little one currently in hospital while I'm stuck at work. He has a major infection but not sure what yet.

Will give more info when I know more.

    Thanks. Yeah at this stage I am going to be going in to stay the night with him. Have been up since 3am and its now 4pm so pretty sure it will be a long sleepless night again.
    They don't think its to serious but they were concerned so yeah waiting for blood cultures to explain.

    OK so am spending the night in hospital with my little man. Is going to be a long night as have had about 8 hours sleep in last 3 or 4 days.

    Thanks for well wishes though. At this stage they think its just a really strong viral infection but theyhave been concerned with some blood results they want to retest when he's better.

    He's so stinking cute! I hope they found the source of his illness and started treating it. He looks completely happy and healthy!

    @Mijita he was drugged to the eyeballs in that pic. They think just a really bad viral infection so not much they can do other than try manage his temp. I have just managed to get him to go to sleep but its 230am and obs are due in about an hour :-( I have now been awake for 24hrs straight and can't see me falling asleep anytime soon.

    Poor little guy and poor big guy! I hope he levels and that you can get some sleep. You are putting yourself at risk for illness and doesn't sound like you can afford that.

    Well managed to get him to sleep about 330am and he slept through to about 8am. I got about 2hours but feeling OK. More tests done this morning so hopefully find out more later.

    Well we could be here for another 24hrs possibly. They suspect bronchitis and a throat infection to start with and possibly another viral infection to. His bloods came back with a raised liver enzyme level but they think its to do with infection and also a issue with red blood cell count. They want to re do bloods once he is well again.
    Nasal cultures won't come back till this afternoon though and his temperature has to stable before they will consider releasing him.

    Well it is looking likely that we will be possibly spending another night in the hospital as they are having trouble breaking his fever still. He has had minimal panadol etc to see what it does but continues to spike back to nearly 40 degrees celcius. Am so fucking stressed as supposed to be back at work in the morning and having a hard time trying to get covered if have to.
