My son always has problems with this. They always tell me not to worry until he hasn't gone for four days. He's pn laxotives now but before they had me try giving him warm water, prune juice, bicycling his legs, warm baths and massaging his tummy
How old is he? Mine went through a stage of every other, then every 3 days & so on until it was once a week. Was told completely normal & bf babies rarely get constipated. Wouldn't worry unless his poo looks as though he's constipated :-)
If its still soft he's not constipated . Green poo can be caused by getting too much foremilk & not enough hindmilk, a reaction to something you've eaten, medication you've taken or if you're on iron supplements or possibly an infection. How's he feeding? The most likely reason is to do with foremilk :-)
My son was ebf for 6 months. He had a problem with constipation alot!! My great grandmother said to put a peppermint in water and heat it up a bit then feed the peppermint water to the baby either by bottle or syringe. It worked wonders for us and its not bad for baby either. How old is your lo? If you give him cereal then instead of mixing with breastmilk or formula....mix it with a little prune juice.
