So I wke up this mrng wit I think either cold sore or fever blisters on my lip!!! They hurt/itch...how do I get rid of em..cuz they tend to get big smetimes...even wrse cuz I hve big lips..
It is easy to catch from somebody if u drink after them or kiss them and they have it too no reason to feel nasty about it but they are contagious so no kissin or drinkin after sombody til they are gone
You don't have to be dirty to get cold sores. Anything can cause them. I had one at the beginning of my pregnancy that just popped up. Stress,hormones or illnesses can cause them. Just ask your dr. What you can take for them
I've never heard of them being contagious my sister gets them all the time i use share a cig with her when she would get an outbreak and i still share drinks with her if she gets them and I've never had one.... the doctor have her a herbal meds for them if she had an outbreak that and she takes lysien it for lip health of something and i think i spelled it wrong lol
Just an fyi... you can pass a cold sore to your partners stuff if you get what I mean. My friend got herpes that way its a very contagious virus so just get meds and no foreplay lol
Everyone carries da herpes virus! N just bcuz u have cold sore dnt b too worried because its normal everyone gets them from time to time :X abreva or carmex should do da trick! If ur feeling a lil stress Google it n it should put ur mind at ease so pls dnt worry if u dnt have the actual STD..
And by the way everybody does not get them I have never had one neither has my husband or my father or my grandparents u people really need to read up before u post on what u do not know
This forum is good for advice and support .. if people are truly worried I think asking your Dr about any question is the safest bet for sure and should be done anyways without question.. I ask questions on here but always ask my dr .. everyone has their own experience or opinion with certain things and everybodys body works different. It people are just trying to help also..
I've never had one. Nor my mom dad or sister. My fiance gets them when its winter cuz he gets chapped lips but i've never contracted one. He won't kiss me when he has one. Ill kiss him on the cheek. But we don't do ANYTHING just in case the virus is on his hand or something. I know you can transfer it from your mouth to the privates and the other way around that's why we just don't do anything. Just in case.
@mommyof3boys i just want to.let you know i get cold sores have since i was 1 my mothef or father are not carriers of the gene my docter that i go to told me i was born with it and it is in you genes
1 in 3 ppl have it its sooooo common. U can catch it in elementary school n not realize til later in life, pregnancy for some reason brings em out. Their not a big deal medically, although they cause a lot of damage to our image of ourselves for the time being, ur Dr can give u medication

Just so everyone can settle down a bit here is a tidbit on info for you..chickenpox is a strain of herpes. Although I've not had them, cold sores or heroes on my girl stuff, the herpes virus is extremely common! You are not born w herpes unless your mother is a carrier.. you can also have a latent form which means you are a carrier but don't show symptoms. Hope that helps calm these ppl down!
Well if your anything like me I'm allergic to ANY kind of chapstick blistex carmex softlips generic and name brand lip gloss lip stick and latex if it is exposed to my or gums me and dentist don't get Ali.g if they use latex gloves the day after I call them and come in glued. So if you noticed it after you tried a new lip product or if you tried blistex to remove it and it got worse STOP using it ha ha ha I learned the hard way I was like 10 I had blisters all the time cuz of the product I was using so I was on all kinds of herpie simplex1 medicine and it never helped went and seen a specialist around 15 and he told me no lip products at all been fine since well until my boyfriend put on carmex and kissed me cuz when. I told him o guess he thought I was lying and well buffer fish face and a blister thing. Ughh it is embarrassing whatever the case lol but im a little different than most just an idea to think about lol good luck
I think an increase in your bodily temperature can also cause a sore to pop up. And pregnancy raises your temp. And lowers your immune system. My lower lip keeps getting itchy and I get paranoid thinking I'm going to get one!
