  • As long as you do it in a well ventalated area. But at that far along don't stress about it. Also if bd goes with you to your doc s/he can calm his worries.
  • As long as you aren't high risk, and like conreeaght said, do in a well-ventilated area. My doc and hair stylist (funny to lump those two together) both said same thing: out of first trimester and well-ventilated. Try to get amonia-free. I am 26 weeks and gave in two nights ago. Soooo happy with it and baby is moving and kicking like normal :(|)
  • I just recently permed my hair this is my third pregnancy and with the other two I colored my hair you will be fine just sometimes the color doesn't turn out like it should due to ur hormones but u shouldn't get highlights in the first trimester cause it can affect the baby but ur past that so u will b fine
  • Yeahhh as long as tha smell isn't tOo strong where u can't take it you'll be fine! I've permed and abt to dye my hair bk blk (: BTW tha color(s) lol that you have now sound really pretty !
  • Go read my post hair questions answered. Yes u can dye your hair is safe I had a client when she was preg we highlighted her hair 2 days later she gave birth
  • Thanks all for the help(:

@camommy yeah I saw your post hours later lol thanks..
  • Im a pregnant hair dresser, this is my second child I worked until I was 37 weeks with my first and im neering 20 weeks now, not only was I a double process blonde with my first but I work with hair color everyday I work.. there is nothing dangerous about coloring ur hair.. however for u or anyone who may still be sceptical or for the doctors who say it a no go, might I suggest a professional permanent color called Inoa by Loreal it is amonia free and has a very low peroxide developer, it uses oils to push color into the hair and is actually good for the hair. Also any demi or semi permanent hair colors are amonia free, and any time u get highlights the chemicals do not touch the scalp so that is safe as well. Few things to note hair changes with pregnancy and can do weird things when colored so beware of that and skin is more sensitive and may react more to the peroxide in regular permanent color. Hope this helps some and good luck with whatever u decide :)
