irregular periods after breastfeeding

First let's start by saying....I WANT ANOTHER BABY! lol.....that being said, has anyone had issues with irregular cycles after nursing...I got my first pp period July 12.... I had always had very consistent 28 day cycles....with my second I got pregnant with my first cycle after I quit nursing my son...I've been testing with ovulation strips this week and if I followed m the 28 day cycle I should have ovulated yesterday, and nothing..not today either...now I'm not Freaking out at all, just wondering what to expect. I'm hoping they come regular and I don't have to wait months for another chance to conceive....how did any.nursing moms cycles work after weaning?!?

Me! Started period 6 mo pp, been about 5 months of them now.. no 28 day perfect cycle yet

We aren't trying yet (he doesn't even) for another one.

Since I stopped bf I have only had 2 af in 5 months. I'm going to need to go into birth control to try to get pregnant again, but I have never been regular
