5 weeks pregnant and really concern about the baby...

I'm 5 weeks pregnant...the doctor scared me and told me my progestrin level is very low...she said I am at high risk of miscarriage...i dont understand..this is my second baby and I never had trouble with my first baby. This ob is not the same as my last pregnancy and I dont know what to do. I'm super worried.

    I had low progesterone will my last pregnancy and it did end in miscarriage. But if ur pregnancy is progressing they can put u on progesterone and that should help. Hope everything works out

    I had a miscarriage with my third baby.. it just happens sometimes :( stay positive and just know ur not alone!

    I had a m/c a little over a year ago. I'm now 9w pregnant. I also had a previous pregnancy which I had a healthy baby girl (who will soon be 4). My progesterone level at 5w was 11 so they put me on progesterone. I am a nervous wreck because she hasn't rechecked the level and my first ob appt isn't until march 31st at which time I will be 12 weeks. Hang in there. Did she put you on anything?

    No nothing yet. Its weird how she doesn't pay that much attention to it ...it kind of feels like she doesn't care....like shes giving up on me and the baby....

    Yes it sometimes happens. I had to great pregnancies and then my 3rd i lost back in October and now 2 months pregnant again and so far everything is great. Im sorry your going throw this.

    Did you feel some sort of symptoms to make you go to the Dr. to figure out that your progesterone was low? I'm 5 weeks this saturday and i don't have an appointment til im 8 weeks and 2 days. How would i even know if i have low progesterone at this point? Just curious!

    @vanessamcconnell OMG! I've been so worried about the exact same thing! My progesterone level was only 4.7 when I conceived & they haven't checked it again. I am 6 weeks today. Thought a good level was crucial but my doc didn't say much & didn't start me on anything? My first appt is in 2 weeks, that's 2 more weeks of worrying :(

    @Cantwait2BAMommy the only reason I knew my progesterone level was low was because we were having difficulties getting pregnant so they did testing & found my level was low. Started taking Clomid & got preggers the first month! But I know my level is still really low & I don't understand why they're not doing anything!

    My progesterone was low with my 3rd I was on a pregesterone compound till 20 weeks...does she have you on any?

    She should have you on some..I was 5 weeks when I found out I was low and she put me on it right away...my blood was checked every 2 weeks to check the levels and had ultrasounds too to check the baby...I love my OB she is the best really caring about you and the baby...since this is my 4 th she will be delivering they all know me by first name and was greated with a huh when I walked in and said yes ma'am I am prego again :)

    Those that have to wait such a long time to see the doctor should ask to get in earlier I mc in september and when I found out I was pregnant again I was very scared of it happening again. When I set up my firat appointment they said they couldnr see me till I was 8 weeks as well I informed them of my history an a how concerned I was and still got the same answer. So I called around and found an offic that took me in right away and saw me every two weeks to help me feel better . I am stress free this pregnancy and my huaband and I can enjoy being pregnant this time and its still early im ten weeks

    Thank you everyone......the reason I went in so early is because I have an irregular period and they didn't know how far along I am...I'm trying not to stress about it because the doctor that delivered my baby said that can affect the pregnancy alot...

    @vanessamcconnell I live Alvin south of houston...my doc is in Clearlake...Dr. Peggy Taylor..her practice is Women MD...only women work there and everyone is the best. :)

    They saw me right away at 4 weeks and I don't have a history, it is my first. They will see me again at 8 weeks for a us and every 4 weeks until 25 weeks then every two. I will have my second us at 16 weeks. I say if you don't like your doctor call around. They are all different and you can find one who will see you.
