Nettles for allergies...

Does anyone know if nettles are good for allergies? If so is it ok for my 11 month old? The dr told me Ollie Judy had a cold...but it seems more like allergies...his sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes and cough all got worse when we were playing outside this evening. He seems miserable, and I would like to provide some relief. I read allergies are really rare this young, but my husbands allergies are awful today to!

  • Rare? When my son was 5months it was spring time. We opened the windows and poor baby was like he got hit by a bus. He was so stuffed up but running nose, watering eyes, cough. He had bad allergies. Got sent home with benedryl which usually isnt even allowed til 6months.

  • I know a teaspoon of local honey per day is great for allergies but I don't know what age babies can start having honey
  • @mama_kat yeah I can't either! I am sorry that she has allergies I bet they are miserable!

@steph_due_101611 the doc said that...It seems like its allergies or maybe a mix of a cold and allergies, they sure did get worse in the yard! I can't find any allergy meds for his age, although hey lands has drops for sneezing and congestion so they seem to working.

@sands3 ya honey isn't recommended until after 1 I think
  • @sands3 no problem! Thanks for the input! My husband uses local honey and bee pollen to help hiS allergies!
  • I used to but they aren't so bad where I live now. They kill me when I go to my parents house
