I am leaning towards Mirena for birth control after baby ... I need to know you alls experience with it...my only concern is it falling out and the string getting pulled if I were to have sex ...and if you all had any side effects from it

    (cont) it literally just came out!!! Maybe my hubs knocked it loose but that shouldnt happen! Lol.... Also ive heard it can be very difficult to concieve afterwards... The only plus was no periods! Ive had the paraguard copper t and it was awesome, never had an issue with it except i still got periods! Hope this helps!

    Well I gained weight. And mine pretty much fell out on its own. Think I got pregnant actually cuz when I took it out I bled non stop and veryyyyy painful. Then took a year to get preggo leading to a mc.

    My sister in laws broke from rough sex. And my ex knocked his gfs out during rough sex. So if you get it, be careful with your sex.

    I have it and I love it! Had regular periods with it for a few months and then went down to spotting every few months and now i only spot like every 3 months for a few days. No cramping for me and no issues with it coming out.

    **** ALSO when my doc put it in she used numbing cream on my cervex didn't feel a thing! (not sure if any of you ladies that had it thought it was painful being put in)

    I had it in '08 after I had a miscarriage and I hated it I bleed the whole 3 1/2 months I had it in and cramped really bad and it hurt to have sex never again its not for me

    My friend had it but had to get surgery to get it removed but other then that she loved it an was gona get again but never did

    There was a girl on here who had it float up by her rib cage and had to have surgery to get it removed. I had paraguard loved it till I got preggers had 2 miscarriages and now a 5 month old baby girl.

    Love mine! Only problem is my hair falling out but the pros override that. My period is almost nonexistent, no need to remember it which was my problem with birth control, its good for 5 years, plus my sex drive hasn't changed and a little tmi Hubby and I have pretty rough sex and its still nicely intact. You never really know until you try it yourself any birth control will be have different effects on different people.
