swollen, red patchy eyes

So my 3 day old started off the morning with red spots on the side if his face near his ears. He had an appt with his pediatrician this morning (1st well baby check up) and she said it was just normal baby acne/spots. Well its spread from the original spot to his eyes and its his hair by his ears. His eyes are slightly puffy and he hasn't opened them in a long time. Not sure if he cant, or just doesn't want to. Anyways, normal newborn display or is this something to get checked out?

Also, not sure if maybe this is related but I was Group B strep positive. So could this be a reaction?

I think we've figured out its because he has on an outfit that hasn't been washed in dreft and he's having a reaction to it. The longer he's gone without an outfit on the netter its gotten.
