Is spotting normal?

I'm about seven weeks pregnant with my second child and I had a little bit of spotting. It wasn't enough to stain my underwear and it wasn't leaking or anything, I only saw it when I wiped after using the restroom. This never happened during my first pregnancy. Is this normal?

    Yes it can be normal. It happened to me randomly through out my last (4th) pregnancy. Sometimes it was even as heavy as a period. Scared me to death, i called my dr everytime and he told me it was ok and what to do if it didn't stop. It always stopped and i had an overall healthy pregnancy and baby! If you start having pain with the bleeding then it could possibly be something to check into. Good luck and congratulations!
