flashlight trick......

Has anyone tried the flashlight trick a friend of mine swears if you take a super bright flashlight, like a maglite, and shine it directly to your belly the baby will respond to the light & either move or kick at it, does anyone else know if this is true? I am only 14wks5days & just barely feeling my baby move, just wanting to know if any momma's out there further along than me have heard of or tried this?

Well I knew their eyes & vision developed I was just unsure how much they could really see thru skin & tissues & amniotic fluid.

Ya its actually really bright to them lol just pink hues to it. Give it a try and see if it moves away from it. U can use just a normal flashlight too it doesn't have to be super bright.

My friend is 24 wks and she swears it works, I know the baby's eyes are fused til 22 wks, but it doesn't open its eyelids til about 29wks, i think that's right so maybe it can just sense the light but not really see it til later?
