Choosing a hospital...

I'm in a dilemma...I feel really comfortable with my ob/gyn and love her BUT I hate the only hospital she delivers at! Its in a bad area & the hospital looks so old & not very nice. I dont know what to do!! Any similar experiences or suggestions?

You could go take a tour of the hospital and their labor and delivery wing. Then you would at least be able to know for sure what u might be getting into before you switch docs.

I have a tour appt set up for this Saturday so I'm hoping I like it better than the other parts of the hospital I have seen bcuz I really dont want to leave my doctor

There is big money in labor and delivey, it ususally is the best part of any hospital. I would find out the hospitals rules on how long you have to stay with them after u give birth. That is a big part of you experience too. You doc only comes in once you start pushing the baby out. You have a hospital nurse the other hours of delivery... you have to pick what is best for you and ur baby
