Anyone Else Stressed About Getting Through the First Trimester??

I am about 6 weeks - just found out a week ago... I have a 21 month old so I kinda of know what to expect. But I can't help worrying about making it through the first few months. Any suggestions?

  • yes!! i worry about it all the time cause i hardly have any symptoms. i went to the dr at 8 weeks and everything looked great! It had a strong heartbeat and was moving around. Im almost 11 weeks now and don't go back to the dr till the end of the month. In a way I kind of wish I had symptoms, but I havent had any the entire pregnancy.
  • I'm 9 weeks today and worry all the time. Every time I pee I hope there is no blood. The bad part about this site is I think it can make you paranoid. Reading stories about there being a heartbeat at 6 weeks then no baby at 10 weeks. I also don't have many symptoms so that makes me worry some as well. Luckily I only have one more week until my next u/s! Can't wait to see my little blob looking more like a baby.
  • I worry all day long...I just entered week six, but I've had two miscarriages. I think that makes it even harder. The first time I was preggers, I didn't worry at all...just ecstatic. I have hardly any symptoms so far, and I worry if that means something is wrong. Just praying this time, I make it all the way and finally get to meet my monkey.
  • I work.. so my days go by fast but I am still constantly thinking and hoping things are going well. I still have 2 weeks until my first US and OB appt.. I think after that I will have some peace of mind.. but until then I need to fond ways to stay stress free!!
  • I'm just trying to get to 8 weeks haha. I wanna see and hear the heartbeat. I'm 5 weeks and 4 days! Yay! Sometimes its slow movin and sometimes it flys by. I also can't wait to find out the sex.....I'm so eager to do the nursery!
  • I guess we all just worry until we can see that everything is ok... gosh... thank you all for your thoughts!!
  • Cantwait2bamommy-- we have the same due date I think!!
  • Also, the only symptoms I have are sore breasts, only at night though, a little more frequent peeing, and every once in a while slight cramping, which I believe is just my uterus stretching. Ladies, I don't believe that having mild symptoms is a bad sign. Everyones bodies are different. I also don't let myself get stressed about a miscarriage, even though the risk is high in everyone. Keep your heads up and feed positive energy to your baby!!! Even if you've had a miscarriage before, this one may very well not be, so you want to be a less stressed as possible!
  • That is so neat! >:D< im glad there are people here that are going through the same thing!
  • @abcarroll and @praying4our3rd.....Nov. 12 right? When are your first appointmets?
  • I don't really have any symptoms either. Just hungry alot more and peeing all of the time. I have a little cramping also... I am trying not to worry too much now.
  • My first appointment is April 4th, ill be 8 weeks and 2 days!
  • My first appt is on 3/31 for my ultrasound and then I have my OB appt on 4/1.
  • They gave me the option for 3/31 but my hubby is out of town!
  • Oh bummer!! I can't wait!! Last pregnancy we didnt have to worrry about getting a babysitter to go to appts.. so some of this is new to us. I am really glad my husband is so supportive and wants to go to the appts with me!! He was like that with our first child too.

  • @cantwait2bamommy I'm almost 8 weeks now and saw my baby's heartbeat at about 7 weeks!!! I've been very worried about having a MC since this is my first pregnancy but after my doctor saw the heartbeat he said the risk goes way down! I really truly felt like a mommy when I saw its heartbeat! These next few weeks will go by before you know it! Best of luck to you!
  • Thank you for sharing! Makes me feel so much better! Hope everything goes well for you too!
  • Thank you! I'm a sooo happy! And can't wait as in my name, lol!
  • Best of luck to you ladies as well! Stay positive!
  • Sorry mommy2b10262011 I just realized you meant that comment for someone else.. but good luck anyways!
  • This is my 3rd pregnancy, and I just hit week 6. My first pregnancy I don't remember any symptoms, and I miscarried at 3 months along. With my second I was paranoid and had nausia. And I developed Placenta previa. But ended up with a healthy now 3 year old. With this pregnancy I have many more symptoms, nausiated all day, sore boob n nipples, and tightness in abdomen. But I am super paranoid. I check for blood every time I pee, I worry about every little ab cramp. And now I have a horable stabbing pain in my lower back/upper butt cheek on the right side so bad I can't sleep because of the pain. Talk about making me even more paranoid. 2 more weeks till my first apt, then another month till I get to hear the heart beat (I think this is too long and am demanding a sooner listen for a hear beat) they want to wait till I'm 6 months prego to do the first ultrasound.. I will switch doctors if I can't have one sooner. I was paranoid all 9 months of being prego with my daughter and I know I will be for this one too. Took me 8 months to concieve so even more paranoia. Why doesn't it get easier?
  • Blueanjel- wow! I can't imagine what you are going through! You have been through so much! Best of luck to you. I agree with you about getting an ulrasound sooner. I would do the same thing.
  • Mariahaucoin77-- I hear you! I am just taking it day by day and hopefully everything will progress as it should! I will be fine when I see the heartbeat.. just have to get to that point.. and that is the hard part!
