need advise please

Okay so im 22 and have three children already please don't judge me yes I started having children young and am currently pregnant with number 4 im planning on getting my tubes tied cuz I im done having babies im just scared I've never had surgery before and don't know wat to expect are any of u guys going threw this or know anyone whos done it any advise would be great

    @kerrideeRN may be able to help you out because she is considering the same thing as well. When I saw your thread, it made me recall her recent thread about tubal ligation (http://www.pregnancythisweek.com/forum/discussion/10572/tubal-ligation#Item_3). She also had many great responses which may be able to help you in your decision. :)

    Its a very easy process! And hey its ok I had my first one at 16 second at 18 third at 22 and fourth at 24. I was pregnant and with my fifth but had a mc :-S. As long as you can take care of them love them and give them everything they need then who cares how many babies you have. I was going to get mine done this time and the doc said th just leave the epidural in make a little incision in your belly button and that's it. They do it the day after you have the baby and when your up walking around and know your ok to have it done. Unfortunately I've had three natural and one csection. I was going to have a vback with this one bc I didn't want any more surgeries done. But this one didn't sound to bad. They don't knock you out completely. I again unfortunately had to have surgery two weeks ago on Wednesday for a d&c and that wasn't bad surgery wise but emotionally it was horrible!!! I can't see but one other post on your discussion so im sorry if im repeating things. Good luck to you girl and again who cares what other people think any ways!!! Its your life!!!! I didn't care what people said about me. As long as my kids knew I loved them that's all that mattered!!!!

    I too was a young mother. I was 16 when I had my first, 19 with my second, 21 with my third, 26 with my fourth, will be nearly 28 with my fifth (& last!) baby. I am getting my tubes tied as my health cannot handle anymore pregnancies. Good luck!
