  • You shouldn't eat any raw seafood. You'll be fine, just don't eat anymore.
  • Yes, you don't have to completely cut out seafood, just limit it. And even cocktail shrimp has been cooked and then frozen for the most part.
  • Sushi bad, cooked ok. :-D
  • Cooked shrimp is fine. There isn't the same issue concerning mercury like with tuna either. Tuna is a large fish so the mercury concentration is higher. Even very limited tuna (chunk light kind) is fine
  • Thanks after I ate it I got really scared but doesn't it have mercury....
  • so shrimp cocktail isn't that bad.. what can it cause tho
  • With shrimp, since they are so small, you would have to eat a ton of it even if it did have mercury. And the problem with tuna is that most people don't cook it, they make tuna salad so the concentrations are higher.
  • Im pretty sure shrimp doesn't carry a risk. U would know if its raw bc raw shrimp is gray. And tuna out of a can is cooked too. Raw tuna is red.
  • I don't think shrimp coctail is raw, I think its just cooked then chilled. If the shrimp were raw they would have been gray in color, cooked shrimp is pink and ok to eat!
