Glucose test in the morning!!!!

    Do not eat anything sweet before! I suggest some toast and drink water. :) other than that, its not bad at all. Good luck hun.

    I am having mine tomorrow to! But I am only doing the hour one...My doc said that if this one comes out bad then I will have to go back and do the 3 hr one...so fingers crossed that I wont have to go back! Good luck with yours to!!

    My doc and the lab both told me that if its just the hour one that you dont have to fast before it...

    The one hour test does not require fasting. :)

    Oh, I went last week for the one hr n they still told me atleast 6 hrs of no eating.

    Yes they will draw blood hun and sometimes they make you pee in a cup as well after you drink the stuff. My doctors office you only get your blood taken the once and thats after your hour is up, you will be getting 2 (I believe) small tubes of blood taken. One to check you hemoglobin (iron) levels and the other to check your glucose levels. If you have it done in the morning, the results should be in within 4 hours and for sure by the following day. If your glucose is bad, they will call you to schedule your 3 hour test immediately, if its good, they may not even call you, you might have to call them. They will also call you if your iron levels are too low. :)

    My one hour test required fasting...I had the lemon lime flavor.
