Prenatal testing?

Next Friday I have an appointment to do some prenatal testing, and me and the bd/bf seem to be split on it. I was wondering what others opted for, I know some do and some don't.

Risk of misscarriage has me feeling its unnecessary. I didn't particularly want to.atleast not the "invasive" ones. The bd/bf suggested we do the ultrasound and bloodtest, asking if it be irresponsible if us not too. Because neither side has an issue or birth in the family without an issue, I feel the risk of anything is slim, so its not really.

May just do the Ultra and blood test though to ease his concern and because he had originally wanted an OB and I chose a midwife.

Was curious of what others have done or plan to do.

@ta2edblondie i agree with u we chose not too, for da same reason. We are gna keep our little bundle no matter what, we dnt have dwn syndrome risk on either or, aside that da test are not accurate. Three fam members wre told they had risk and all three bbys are super healthy. I wldnt base myself on thse test. I will be doing da us though. Gud luck wish u both da best and hope we all have strong healthy bbys

I am at the lab right now doing the blood test. We decided to just do this part... Just to be safe. I don't like the idea if the more invasive ones, but a little boots taken is no biggy. There is no family history, but just for our piece of mind, I am here. Regardless of what it says, its our peanut and we will love it no matter what.
