Placenta Previa

edited March 2011 in September 2011
I have it. I figured since I am only 12-13 weeks that it's no big deal, but the OB office has told me to even stop my daily walk around the block. Almost made me cry :-( Now that I'm feeling better, getting past the 1rst trimester misery, I can't go out and enjoy feeling human again?

  • I had it 6 yrs ago w my first. I had complete placenta previa. It was scary. The reason is because u can start bleeding and put both u and baby in danger, very quickly. It can move though as well. In fact I had it uuntil37 wwks2 days... I had my "decision" ultra sound and it finally moved!!! 5 days later I went into labor.
  • Did they say wether you have complete ir marginal? I was told I have marginal at 17 weeks and they told me no sex and take it easy. Ive talked to so many women who had placenta previa and so far everyone of them had it correct itself intime to deliver vaginally. Nothing you can do except no sex no heavy lifting and not to much excercise. Just be aware of any blood! Goodluck to you!
  • I had it with my first and it corrected itself. I have it again with #2, and im hoping it will do the same this time.
  • I was diagnose @ 29 wks and had to go on bed rest. Which I was required to have a c-section later and hopefully your situation will correct itself. No house work either! Just rest cause you don't want to cause any bleeding. You will get to be a couch potatoe for awhile until your doc says otherwise. Best of luck.
