belly button goop...?

So I have puss coming out of my belly button... it itches and smells weird? I called a nurse hotline and they said take a cold shower and rinse it out... but I think it's worse than that... has anyone else had this? Opinions on what I should do?

    Hydrogen peroxide to kill the germs... its infected. Do u have a belly button ring?

    Saline is really good for that. It's washes it out. Peroxide may actually burn and hurt more. Or warm salt water.

    No problem. Don't use a qtip just rinse it out for a few days then try to rub out the inside. Good luck!

    No offense are you a little chunky, cause when I was I had that happen I just rinsed it out and used antibiotic ointment for the itching and redness it went away after a couple days

    Lol chunky :] yes I am a lil on the thicker side @may1mommatobe so just rinse it and I should be okay? Cuz I've had it before.

    I had this issue with my first pregnancy, I was told to bathe, wash it well, use a qtip and alcohol to clean it, when possible lay on your back and allow the alcohol to sit in your belly button (pour some in there) also whenever possible throughout the day clean it.

    yes thats all I did I know its kinda nasty but just rinse no soap and after you shower make sure to dry it I would stand in front of the fan (i still do that to dry off lol). It gets infected from extra moisture
