Babyshower/WeddingBBQ?

My fiance and I moved up our wedding date (was suppose to be 9/10/11 but because we got pregnant and the baby is due 10/01/11 weve moved it up to May.) Were eloping to save money but my family wants to throw a reception for us in Summer so why not combine the two and that way everyone is invited to the babyshower... not just women? I think men need abit of babyshower celebrating too and if they get bored they can go eat. Kinda win win. What do you think?

Thats a great idea,,, my baby shower is a bbq so everyone can come,,,and were having it at a park so everyone can bring there kids so they dont have to worrie about finding a sitter

i think thats a great idea. my fiance and i had a coed baby shower at the park for our boys and we will do the same if this 1 is our girl. good luck & have fun.

COed is more fun! Why not celebrate with the dad, he's excited too! I think combining the two is a great idea..hopefully it's not like when someone has a birthday on xmas and they only get 1 gift..lol I'm not greedy just sayin

Im due Oct 7 but they r takin the babies early(i 4got how early) so I was thinking anniversary party/baby shower in august.

Guys have diaper parties. Sit around drink beer. Everyone brings a six pack and a box of diapers. You could even let the party split apart in the middle and have ladies playing shower games while the guys do that and get everyone back together for presents and cake. That way guys can have so bonding time. Im sure some of the dads there would be more comfortable offering dad experiences/advice in the company of other guys...without wives present lol.
