Sex during the last couple weeks

edited March 2011 in Third Trimester
Sorry if this is a little TMI but my bf and I have been avoiding sex because I see my doctor weekly now, however, its taking its toll on both of us. Do the doctors know if you have cum in you?

  • I dont think it matters lol Im 35wks & start my weekly visit but thats not going to stop me ;;)
  • I don't think so, have sex, cause you won't after baby comes. My problem is for the last month of pregnancy my husband thinks he's gonna hurt baby and doesn't want to do it. With the last one I got the midwife to write a dr note saying its ok to have sex, I went into labor the next day without having sex....bummmer!
  • Im just paranoid haha. He always wants to have sex and I have to make him settle for an alternative. I just dont want me doctor to know, even though thats obviously how we got here in the first place. Lol.
  • The doctor will not know if you have residual semen. They are going to be wearing gloves and will use lubricant to check you so it's gonna be slippery anyway! Besides, semen is supposed to help soften the cervix which is great preparation for the big day.
  • HAVE SEX!!! It helps you feel weird, but it helps the pain of labor. And it is completely safe for you and baby.
  • It helps, you may feel weird, but iit helps.
  • Have sex!!! They shouldn't be checking u weekly anyway and who cares that's their job I promise he sees it all the time!!
  • @kaylarose07 The doctor will not be able to tell if you have had sex, and the doctor will not care if you have unless you have been specifically told you should avoid sex due to a complication or medical reason. Otherwise, sex is a healthy thing during pregnancy, and your doctor would probably encourage you to do it if you asked them.
