overwhelmed! how much?

edited March 2011 in Pregnant
I'm due august 3rd, and I just started going over my list of things I will need for when my baby gets here. This isn't my first child, but a lot of my sons things didn't hold up to well in storage and its a girl this time. As far as I know I will not be having a 2nd baby shower. How much does everyone plan to spend on these things? Baby furniture, clothing, swing, bouncer, nursery items...etc... Is anyone else feeling a bit overwhelmed by all this?

  • I'm just going basic ... no swing or bouncer or many toys .. but have u heard of Just between Friends? Its pretty awesome they have a website JBF you can get like new second hand baby stuff cheap
  • Thanks for website. Ill have to check it out. I'm going basic too. But my son was such a horrible sleeper the swing was a must that's the only place he would sleep. I'm defitnetly not taking any chances lol just a couple days ago I thought my due date would never come but after thinking of all these things I feel like I'm running out of time with such a tight budget.
  • Try craigslist and if they have them in your area mom to mom sales are the best. Most of the moms just want to get rid if their used baby stuff and will sell it for cheap. Good luck!
