  • Venting sorry...... :(
  • I switched docs and hospitals I'm 15 weeks.... feel so much better first appointment with old doc is Thursday and I'm driving 30 minutes to go to Jim and different hospital but so worth it!
  • I'm army n have no idea how to switch?!?!
  • Aww man that sux! Is ur hospital on post? If you got referred off post than switch by getting a new refferal. But if ur on post u can ask to have a different ob doc
  • Ya ill try it. Idk I'm not happy at all about the docs I have. but I guess good news she made it to 17%ile today!! They fit me in since she's small n needs measuring.
  • BBut they acted snobby about it. like I was in the wrong. people these days. oh well at least she's growing. n not in such a danger zone. she's still small but a healthy small.
  • Hey I'm an army wife to, I refuse to be seen by army docs during pregnancy. All you have to do is go to the tricar office and disenroll from prime and enroll in standard everything is still covered all except a 25.00 copay for delivery room and you will be free to find a doc off base that except tricare. I hope that helps
  • I know there is a number you can call an put in a complain military doctors are bad not all but most of them think they are better than you.
  • And most of them think they know everything about you and wont listen to your concerns because they know your body better than you do, well thats been my expirence for the last 9 years.
  • @Emilysp3 I liked the doctors overseas a lot better than stateside
  • Hi ladies I'm a coastie wife and I have tricare prime and my ob is a local ob place actually I have two doc I have a regular ob and I also go c a high risk doctor and the high risk doc is local to
  • I'm active duty my hubby is a mechanic lol @Emilysp3 I can't switch to standard.....I'm stuck unfortunately.
  • I Hate My Dr, She Is A True B Word, I Havent Had A UltraSound Since I Been Pregnant && Im 17 Weeks && Don't Have Another Dr's Appt Until April 21st.
  • I know what you mean. My doc is a real a-hole. He told me that I have set a record with weight gain with all of his patients. I've gained 50 lbs and I'm almost 35 weeks. I started out at 100 lbs before I was preg. I've always been underweight til now. I've told him that I either completely cut out or seriously cut back on sugars, starchs, salts, and sodas. He laughed like he didn't believe me. So I've given up. I eat what I want throughout the day now but only in small portions.
  • sooooo sorry! I have lots of friends that are military, and there dr are the worst by far!! Just dont let them ignore out bully you. If you have issues or concerns make them take the time! @Jojom Thats horrible! I am 5 5 and started at 120 lbs, I gained 9 lbs in the first 8 weeks, then about 35 after. And I'm very healthy, and worked full time untill I had my son. I was told my body needed the extra weight to support the baby. I would punch my dr if they said something like that! You are fine! I lost all but 5 lbs after having my son.

  • @Itsagirl can you switch to a different doc within the ob doc? My hubby is army and I'm stuck with on post docs as well. I saw one doc, didn't care for her and switched to another and he's awesome.
  • @mamaC I have 9-10 weeks left I'm 29 weeks now kinda late in the game to switch
