Had my first check up and u/s today and there was no heartbeat. The doctor said all measurements indicated the heart stopped within the past week. I am struggling with the news...this is the first miscarriage in my family. Still have to decide if I will do the d&c or just wait for mother nature which the doctor thinks could take weeks.

I just have to keep telling myself that I didn't do anything wrong, the doctor was really insistent that I remember that.

praying for you hun! stay strong! I just got the same news on Monday. I was 12 weeks along and had a d&c that night. It was just too much for me to handle. You are doing the right thing on telling yourself it's not your fault....cause it isnt! This was my first baby and first miscarrige in my family as well. We will be trying for another little one in about 3 months. Just remember that miscarriages are very common and most women can go on with having normal happy pregnancie in the future

So sorry honey I lost my son when I was 27 weeks and it was first in my family hang in there honey. It will take some time just stay strong. If you don't mind me asking how far along were you?
