Low fluid

So, went for checkup 36+5 and every checkup Ive been measuring how many weeks I am but today Im 31 so Ive shurnk, midwife said its a sign of low fluid and is sending me for a scan tomorrow. Has this happened to anyone else and what will happen if it is low :-/

This happened to me. I thought my waters broke but then nothing seemed to happen. A couple of days later I measured smaller and it turned out my waters had gone, just very slowly and only my back waters. Good luck hun, you might be seeing your baby soon if its the same thing!!

Thanks, thing is I dont think Ive been leaking. Havent 'felt' myself the past two day though, full of cold and period like pains. Wasnt expecting that from the midwife haha x

I felt mine pop, spoke to the midwife and she said put a pad on you will notice even if its a slow leak. But I noticed nothing all weekend! Then the Monday I was 6-8 cm smaller, got to hospital and the doc examined me and said yep they had gone! So was then induced as contractions hadn't started and there's a risk of infection if its left too long! Good luck, keep me posted!

If your fluids are low you will most likely be induced early.. that happened to me and he put me in the hospital the same day after he saw it was low

That happened to my sister. At first she was put on bed rest and was checked often. Then 5 weeks before her due date it lowered enough that she had to be induced. My niece was 4 lbs 3 oz and only had to be on a ventilator a few hours. She's now a healthy 8 year old

Im glad that Im 37 weeks on saturday so if it is low Im pratically full term. Double checked my bag before just in case. Just hope tonight doesnt drag :-/

I started leaking at 37 weeks he checked and said my water had not broke but did an ultrasound at 38 weeks.. she was very healthy.. so yay you might get to meet your baby very soon

Happened to Leu fluid was low they induced me the next morning I was 3 weeks early and baby was just fine

Oh this makes me excited/nervous, I dont feel ready even though everything sorted to the point where I have my bed linen ironed haha x

So no baby just yet, everything was fine. Got to see the little one again, sooooo cute looked like it was mooching for food, 90% its a boy, just makes me want it here faster now though!!x
