smoking

Oh I'm hearing so many things with this quit cold Turkey And it puts stress on the baby gradually quit And It puts stress on the baby what the hell do I do? I want one (If that) cigarette a day then I start smoking it and I get about half way through And it does the trick for me... but when I want that one cigarette damn it I want it bad

  • I think its better to gradually quit, its easier to stick with quitting when you do it gradually...i hope you are successful in either way you choose :)
  • Thank you @gsmommy I'm really tired of people (men) telling me.I can't smoke half a cigarette in an entire 24 hour time span
  • I still smoke.. I was at a pack & a half a day & now I smoke about 4-5 (if that) a day.. I buy a pack & it lasts me 3-4 days (my hubby also smokes some)... I've cut down TREMENDOUSLY.. but its hard to quit :( only thing that sucks is that I can't breastfeed because I smoke :( good luck on quitting
  • I personally found cold turkey was best for me because I would just say one more or trick myself into "the stress of not having one is worse" and never actually cut back at all. Just do what works for you hun! Id think if I could go all day on half a cigarette I wouldn't need one just cause if I only smoked one a day id just get light headed! Good luck to you hun!
  • You should probably go to a doctor or see a counselor about it, because you really do need to quit asap
  • Try getting an electronic cigarette...that way u still can have a puff or two when needing the nicotine but don't have to worry with the tar and chemicals
  • Everyone has their own opinions on smoking & the risks aren't proven to be very high.. all 5 of my sisters smoked their whole pregnancy & each and every one of my nieces & nephews are perfectly healthy...
