however my pregnancy never came up... should i wait to tell them until i am guaranteed the job or call and let them now before i get it... i dont want to miss out on it because i am pregnant... but i dont want to tell them later and then they get mad...

you dont really have to tell them at all, unless your pregnancy affects your job performance, and your doc modifies your dutys. I would wait until you pass probation period. I went through a lot with my employer.....save yourself some greif, if you dont have a reason to tell them..dont.....they will figure it out eventually lol

@prettiekittie31 im just worried that if i dont tell them they'll fire me when i do get hired... im 5months but not showing much... and when i went to my interview i played up my bump.. the lady loved me complimented my clothes and attitude and said i should get a call next week and if not give her a call and gave me her cell #... ungh... i dont plan to take a maternity leave if i do get it... but... idk...

I think it depends on how far along you are. If you are still in your first tri-mester I think it would be okay to wait, just in case. Then I would tell them when you start your 2nd trimester & use being advised not to tell anyone until then as the reason you didn't say something earlier. Not the best excuse, but rational. They may be irritated regardless of when you tell them, but as long as you work hard & do your job, it 'shouldn't' affect your job. Most employee's are protected in companies with 15 or more employee's by federal law, unless you're in a probationary period. Your state also has it's own pregnancy-labor laws; I would research those ASAP. Good luck!

*If you're already 5 months, I would bite the bullet & make sure they know. I think that would look much better than not saying anything when you're that far along.

@vette_devil thank you... i was meaning to tell her anyway during the interview but got so caught up with my interviewer it just slipped my mind... and it's not like i was hiding my bump or anything... im going to call her and let her know...
