Anyone who is financially fortunate?!?!

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like anytime they comment on someone's thread that is less fortunate it is automatically assumed I am judging or I think I am better than they are? This is really upsetting to me, I have been in some pretty tough spots myself so I guess its hard for me to just ignore when someone is in that situation. Am I alone here?!?!

I just made a post about bring broke. lol there is nothing wrong with u being financially able. u been not so fortunate before like u stated so just saying something uplifting to the person and they wont think your judging them :-)

I wouldnt worry about it...Sometimes it seems that when someone posts a comment on a thread that is the opposite of the what the majority are saying then all of a sudden that person is "picking on" people or being mean... Seems to me some people post on here just so that people will throw them a pity party...I wouldnt even play into it...you know what you have been thru...some people are just to sensitive

I think sometimes ppl just take things the wrong way...reading something is so different from hearing it cuz u give the person a "tone". I would not say we r financially fortunate but we r not broke either...living w my parents trying to save money for house/pay off bills.2 kids and 1 on the way-just thankful for what we have

@ashley_smashley I try not to let people bother me it's just annoying lol I know I am blessed I thank god every day. I just feel like there is so much drama and people trying to twist things to start drama. I know some people thrive off of drama but I don't and hate being put into it! Thanks for listening to my vent:)

Its unfortunate that people can be so sensitive to comments that aren't directed @ them. Im financially fortunate but it didn't fall in my lap. I come from a family that used gov assistance to better themselves. My sister was on assistance at one time and now makes $80,000/yr and is a yr from finishing her PhD. I do very well also but never needed assistance to get here. I don't give two shakes about people really needing assistance. I do however believe it should not be a permanent means to survival. Use it to better yourself. By no means am I jealous of those that eat steak everyday with fs. Im fortunate enough that I could eat sea food everyday because my husband and I have put ourselves in the position to be able to do just that. It wasn't luck or a handout. It took hard work to get here and I'm not ashamed of that.

@z_mommy_2009 been there minus 1kid! it only gets better! I miss living with my grandma not having to cook and always someone there to give me a break from kids lol

Go you for being financially stable...I wish I were in your shoes and I was at one point but that doesn't make me think any different of anyone...hey if you can take care of tour kids with no help unlike me then kudos to you lol...

I hope that doesn't come across as an insult cause that's not my intent I just don't know how else to word what I'm trying to say

@kalasthename not insulted at all. I have also been where you are my point is I do not look down on anyone. I would not want anyone looking down on me but people don't realize its just as hurtful to be looked at as a stuck up snob when I do nothing to get treated that way!

I just posted on the fs comment so I wont go through all that again as you could read my thoughts there. However I wanted to say that in taki.g the time to read the posts, I thought you tried to be very considerate and thoughtful in how you worded your first few comments. Never.did you say people were wrong for getting help when needed, and even mentioned having used that same help. I think some people just have to start crap to have something to do. I wish all people looked at gov assistance as a helping hand up rather than a hand out...but whatever...to each their own I guess.

@second_time_mommy7 I say seafood because I am a Oncology RN and I know too much beef increases your risk of gastric cancer. My family's indulgence is seafood. You can eat seafood during pregnancy it depends on type and quantity. I have a wonderful website that breaks down the allowable portions if you're interested. I had crawfish, whiting, blue crab, shrimp, and salad for dinner tonight. Lol I feel like a glutton.

@mommyo3soon2b4 forgot to post the rest got kinda carried away there. I agree if I would have live off of it when I was less fortunate id still be there. Use it as a hand up and not hand out and eventually you won't need it anymore.

@Carley ummmmm yummy! Well, right now that sounds good but probably cause I can't smell it through my phone. I will be happy to get passed the stage that the smell of seafood and meat makes me ill.

@carley I was just messing with you:) I've always heard no seafood during pregnancy never really put much research into it because I don't eat it when I'm not preggo! Can't get past the texture:) but thank you very much for the offer! That would be a good educational forum to start and just give that site because I have seen a lot of women on here wanting to know about allowed seafood during pregnancy!

Some ppl just like drama no matter what is said or how its worded lol its funny though I couldnt imagine being on government assistance forever however I do have to use it right now & get no where near enough to eat steak

@may1mommatobe I was on assistance once and luckily I felt the same way that you do and now with prayers and hard work we are blessed enough to be financially dependant now! It really is sad to see people that just settle when they have so much potential. I will keep you and your family in my prayers!

I agree if you have money for beer ciggs maybe u dont NEED fs. Say u buy 2 cartons of smokes a month thats easily.80 that ur wasting but u better believe its an off the bat budget. Im a smoker but I buy them and I buy my food. We dont get fs am i "jealous" of people that do? Not in the least bit because I know some people NEED them. But when u have money for wants such as beer and smokes then wants/needs need some checks and balances.

Ok I don't know if id consider myself financially fortunate, but we're comfortable. Not necessarily you @second_time_mommy7 but how you say things makes a big difference. I don't personally get fs but I understand y some women felt attacked by certain comments.

Lol they talk so much crap about us judging them but what r they doing to us??? Um last time I check its called judging! So bc ur less fortunate its ok for u to judge?? It doesn't make sense and its hypocritical!!! I'm insulted that I'm on a "high horse" lmfao!! I'm also insulted I worked harder and got a second job not to have to go on p.a. smh! like I said its not towards the people with hardships its towards the people that r able and don't. @twinkiesmom I'm not by any means rich my husband works his a** off for what we have and my children and I lose a lot of their father being around because he is always working. Did you find the comments made from me judgmental or offensive?
