40 weeks and spitting...help

Im 40w 1d and just woke up to sharp back pain and a few contractions about 15 mins apart amd bright red spotting. Im waiting for the doctor to.call me back....is this a good sign or bad?

Most likely a good sign, at this stage a small amount of blood is usually linked to labour. Good luck and fingers crossed this is it for you! :-D
