So I have a almost 2 year old and because of spd i have very limited mobility I need stuff to do with him that doesn't involve me moving from the sofa to much.

  • It's pelvis pain caused by the muscles and bones separating during pregnancy its very painful and limits you if very bad. I ended up on crutches last pregnancy :(

  • Tell Him a story and have him act it out! same with letters and numbers. You can act out out on the couch, barely moving, and his imagination will have him act it out too but more hyper! Color together, arts and crafts are always great, movie/snuggle time with a special snack. Hope this helps
  • colouring, blocks, car games, swing my 1.5yr does his own thing same with 3yo, if its warm, give him a hose to play with, playdough
  • Put a pillow on your lap and have a puppet show, or have him put one on for you. Don't have puppets use old socks or small paper bags and any random craft things you have laying around.

Make a book together, make up the story and have him draw the pictures, you can write out the words. Make it a hard cover by taping or stapling cardboard to the front and back. Or you guys can do the same idea but make journals about mommy having a new baby. Bounus - your son can "read" the books to the new little one before and after it is born. Might not work with how young he is.

Play I spy, teach him checkers if he is old enough not to put the pieces in his mouth. There are many versions of the memory game out there you could play that. Playdough, I think someone mentioned that already but playdough is awesome. Get some pots and pans and have him put on a concert for you. Play "what if" example: "what if you were a monkey, what sound would you make? What if you were a piggy, how would you eat?" Ect. Stack blocks, if he likes cars play cars, if he doesn't throw things around or play to rough you can get a few bowls and cups and turn the coffee table into a water table, or a sand table. Toss or roll a ball to eachother.

Reading to him is also the best before bed activity, you could also give him a "baby" but in his case "big boy" massage. Cuddly time is great too.
