I had a friend who had it fall out and another who got pregnant while on nuva ring(sp) and the baby had it around its head for a few months. Scary but im thinking about getting merana(sp)
I had my iud come out twice but didn't get pregnant. I knew it was out because I began to have contractions as my body forced it out. Pretty painful stuff.
Well it was the mirena that I had and the Dr says it normal but no one told me that it could fall out, they say it can make ur period go away so that's what I thought til I went to my yearly appt n said jokingly that I thought I might b pregnant what a shock to hear I was I was freaking out they did ultrasound to look for the iud but said it was gone but I heard the baby's heartbeat then n I knew it was meant to b :-)
I got pregnant with a flexy-t iud (its the one without hormones) they got it out no problem....the doctor at the maternity clinic were says that she sees a lot of mommies coming in after iud failure or it falling out....makes you wonder if the cost of an iud and all the risks make them really as efficient as the drs tell you.
They put a iud in ur uterus, they had to force my cervix open to get it in n it did work for 2 1/2 years then idk what happened but next thing I know I'm pregnant .the Dr say u can use tampons so it just plain weird is all I'm saying. Told my sisters n counis about the mirena n so far so good for them n they know about my situation, thanks everyone for ur comments

I had the mirena as well and wouldn't get it again but they are supposed to tell you that it could come out.
