Cramps

edited February 2011 in Pregnant
I'm 5 weeks pregnant from conception and for the last 2 weeks, I've had cramps in my uterus on and off. Sometimes they're worse than at other times. They've gotten better in the last couple of days. I'm starting prenatal care on Thursday. Anyone else go through something similar?

  • I am going through the same thing.. A couple friends if mine have had them and say they are normal that they had them but I am nervous too..
  • It could be either stretching ligaments domain your growing uterus (yep! This early ) or gas pains. They feel very similar! Unless they come with bleeding, you should be fine :D
  • Ohhhhhh that is so good to hear.... They are very mild and come often but no bleeding or spotting... Just nervous...
  • I have the same thing and I'm almost 9 weeks. Its all normal :) just make sure you drink plenty of water and juice, that helps ease the pain for me and if they get really bad you can take tylonol. Tylonol is the only pain med you can take while pregnant.
  • Then thank god for Tylenol. I'm afraid of taking anything at all.
  • Amen! There are times i cry cuz the stretching cramps get so bad :( tylenol is def a good thing lol just be sure to stay away from asprin especially. Asprin can be really harmful to baby
  • Thank you.... I cant wait for this to pass and I can get on to the fun part of being preg... Well the motion of the baby.. I am just thankful I dont have morning sickness... :)
  • So far, I've been nauseous all the time but have yet to throw up. I try not to, and I hope it stays that way!
  • It could definitely be ligaments, uterus or gas. They all hurt
  • I get them my doctor says its just growing painsk
  • @Lovethemoon you're lucky you don't have morning sickness! I get it all day and night!
  • If you lay stretched out or rub your belly that usually will help too :)
