  • I had botg my kids completely natural.... my oldest was induced and i was only 16 but did it with out any pain medication or epidural second one was also dobe with no pain meds. I got to the hospital at midnight after being in labor all day (i walked the malls and shopped between contractions) had her at 4:23 am! Im hoping to do this one the same way.... good luck on whatever u choose
  • I had an epidural ..and I will again. I give a lot of props to those who can go natural..I couldn't do it tho.
  • With both my pregnancy I had epidurals my body would get to a certain point and then not progress so they gave me epidural my first sons birth was super easy he was over 11 lbs second was a nightmare! It was a bad situation to begin with I knew I was delivering a baby that wouldn't survive :( but then epidural failed was put in wrong place I had back pain from it for about 6 months
  • I had both and I would go natural but I would have the paperwork ready incase you can't take it anymore.
  • I want to try going natural but if I decide that its too much I want to be able to get something for pain its something you should discuss with your dr to lay out your birth plan that way you are still on control
  • I had all 3 of mine natural and plan go do it again. I had reall fast labors though, so got very lucky.
  • Epidural w my first...something else (don't remember what it was called) w my second. Told my mom and hubby that I was thinking of trying natural w this one-I've had pretty quick labors-and they both "yelled" at me and told me to just do pain meds...my mom had no choice but to go all natural w me-im an only child bc of it.
  • I was induced with my first, stalled, had the epi, still felt contractions, but dilated quickly. Had my boy an hour and a half later. My daughter was completely natural, and it was hard, but it was an experience I will never forget. I'm going natural with this one, too. My advice is keep it an option, but move as much as you can, even when you think you can't. Laying on your back is the WORST thing you can do, so avoid it at all costs. If you just can't take it, go for the epi instead of iv drugs. You can take tylenol during labor, I recommend it to take the edge off.
