I went to the doctor today. I'm 38 weeks and 2 cm dialated and 70% effaced. My doctor told me she doesn't think I will make it to my due date (april 22) but everyone keeps telling me that they were that progressed or further and it was weeks before they went into labor. I don't want to wait weeks. Why is everyone draggin me down?

Just have patience or itll just seem longer.. Good luck and I hope your doctor is right!

There is no real telling when your bundle of joy will be born. I am in stage 1 labor for 12 days now and effaced and 3 to 3.5cm but as long the little one doesn't wanna come unless you are getting induced it might take a while. My due date is 1 day after yours. With my first I seen the doc 2 days prior my edd and he thought I would go past due but that didn't happen. So it could be any day now.
