  • Oh yea, I have 5 of the stinkers
  • I have them too. The ultrasound tech said "too bad they dont give awards for biggest fibroids". Mine are on the outside of my uterus so there shouldnt be any complications. Sometimes, if the block the birth canal, a c-sec might be necessary. They can also cause pain, im only 9 weeks, but so far no pain for me.
  • Im only 5: the us showed they are outside. I do have a tightness minimal pain so im a little worried.
  • They will just keep closer eye on you make sure you and baby r OK worse case scenario they do csection to remove fibroid and baby prayfully everything will turn out fine with both of you
  • @2ndtimearound how many do u have? How big r they? Did u have them in ur first pregnancy? Did u experience tightness or bloating. Extra discomfort? Lol. Sorry loads of questions.
  • @tamsy79 Im not sure how many, but i know its a few. One is the size of a normal uterus at 2 months prego (i think thats what they told me). My first child will be 14 in a few months, so back then i didnt have fibroids yet. The doc told me that the pregnancy could cause the fibroids to have their blood supply cut off and they could dye off. She said that could cause a lot of pain. I see the high risk specialist tomorrow so i will ask her more questions.(i have diabetes so i have to have a perinatologist, high risk doc). I heard that they also consult the high risk doc when the fibroids are causing complications. I wouldnt worry about the fibroids cuz most likely they will just move outta the way as the baby grows. Remember that some mild pain and cramping can be normal in early pregnancy.
  • @2ndtimearound thank u. I feel a lil more reassured. Im eating more natural food (less processed) and more greens. I heard that eating fresh fruits and veg's is good to keep fibroids under control. Plus its good for baby too. My doc told me the same thing-if fibroid infarcts, its quite painful and can last for a week. I hope I have no issues.other problems besides the obvious are the need for a c section if baby doesn't turn in correct position at birth. I hope prefer a natural vaginal birth.
  • I have two fibroids they were discovered in 09 during my first pregnancy and I had to have a c section and I still have them and im 11wks preggo..
  • @Lovingmyjaz did u have any complications?
  • Not at all and they still dnt bother me..... I just eat small amounts of food
