Do not put cereal in the bottle, your baby could choke. You should only feed a baby "solid" foods from a spoon. And from my experience cereal at bedtime doesn't always help a baby sleep better. My son slept thru the night at 6 wks, but when we started solids between 5 and 6 months he began waking in the night again. I Think the minimum age for cereal is 4 months.
I wouldn't do cereal in the bottle...three only suggestion I can give u is to switch to formula with rice starch in it, it is thicker than regular formula and can help them stay fuller longer, but no guarantees. I know it helped my son sleep better/longer at night when i started a regular and strict bedtime routine
I fave my daughter cereal at 3 week only a teaspoon per 4oz of formula...I never had any problems....nowadays, to many people are going by "the books".....she was getting table foods at 5 months old...do what you feel is right....my daughter is as healthy as can be....5 more weeks til my son is here, and I plan on doing him the same way.
