breastfeeding && pumping

my son is 3wks plus old. And since the hospital I have been. Breastfeeding. I give him about 2 or 3 formula bottles a day when super tired.I wanted to know if me pumping can mess with my milk supply? I have a really good pump a Medela Freestyle.

Ive heard on here that pumping dries you up faster because its not the same as when the baby latches on. I'm hoping that if I pump every 2 hours that it will help BTW I have a medela too but haven't tried it . Is it true that they're noisy.

I think they r more discreet lol. And yeah I breast feed or pump every two hrs I hope that the pumping doesn't dry me up cause I like it better than bf

Thanks and yes I hope so because I'd really like to get back to my body lol. Have you lost weight yet?

@felicia89 deff I gained 17 lbs during my pregnancy and lost 25 lbs at my 2 wk checkup (I had a c section) and I know I lost more my jeans are fitting me loose. You will loose weight while BF but u also get real hungry like if u were pgnt but u had to eat healthy and eat things that while establish ur milk supply.

@felicia89 ugh it hurts so much afterwards and ur belly hangs. advice: after u have the c section ask the nurse for a "wrap" for ur belly u put iton your insition lower stomach. It really helps slim u down. Even if u already have one the ones at the hospital are wayy better I'm serious! But u have to wear the wrap 247 it really works though

I pumped religiously when I went back to work, every 2 hours and nursed him when I was home. It took me a good 3 months to dry up after I quit nursing, it would never stop!

@HomeBirthAdvocate thanks I think I will just stop being lazy and nurse him lol is 4oz ok for a 3wk old baby. That is how much comes out
