Which trimester?

Ok, so I'm 12w today and the app says I'm now in the second trimester...which makes sense when I did the math...3 months=12w. But I thought 13w was the second trimester mark?

13. Weeks is 2nd tri, and 27 weeks starts 3rd tri.
