military moms i need answers!

My bd is in the navy and after four months of non communication he's back. He is upset bc I told him I wasn't giving the baby his last name. He told me since the baby is his (which he just denied) he will need to have the babys name be his last name for his military file or he can't add her to his insurance. Is this true. I don't believe him...help!

  • The baby doesn't have to have his last name, but does have to be his dependent to get on his insurance. They are getting stricter about military members baby mommas getting any benefits, so I'd check with tricare.
  • @kristaf22..that may be why he asked for a prenatal paternity test. I will ask a recruiter. Does it have to a navy one or just anyone?

@mamac..I looked into tricare but just started so I will have to call them. I read about interim coverage and it isn't much.

Thanks ladies...now I know how to catch him lying..lol
  • I will check tomorrow at work. I know he retired from marines and is now navy. Or so he says. Thanks for the info. It is greatly appreciated...
