edited April 2011 in About App & Forum
not to start drama, just asking seems like everyone has they're way of how things should be done so im wondering, i just joined a few days ago and i just read alot, so just curious

i would make a catagory specifically for debates, becasue some of us need to get it out once in a while

    never step to levels
    remainn professional
never go on a power over drive......

    jus sayin
  • Nice answers
  • I mentioned good ideas on the 4/7 post
  • omg . . . let it goooo. %-(
  • I would have a member profile and a mod profile, and hopefully keep the member profile secret from other mods and members so it in no way could be 'special'.
Or just not post personal matters.
This is just what I would do to keep things professional. But I would also just like to read the posts and place them in the right category, I like organizing. :P.
  • I say being annonymous is a good idea. Not allowing yourself to personally get involved is in the best interest of everyone. Also, being able to base a decision off of fairness and what's best for the forum as opposed to make decisions because people come tattling to you or you personally being offended would be helpful.

I think there should be a 110% open door policy, and right now there isn't. Ladies are fearful about retaliation around here, and it seems like personal vendettas are getting in the way of professionalism. What might be offensive to some may not matter to others, so being able to determine what's in the best interest for everyone needs is difficult to decide, so someone who can look at both sides clearly and unbiased is much needed.
  • @marysue Yes, organization is MUCH needed around here lol. I would LOVE to go in and recategorize things. :D
  • That is exactly what I was saying on another thread, if the mods were private and no one knew who they were, it would make their job easier. They would make the call based on what they see and no one can contact them every two seconds saying, this persons bothering meeee.

Fair, anonymous is the way it shouldve been from the beginning...
  • I would be private and handle things like fingerscrossed. Very mature.
  • @BkE913 I know! It's just so stressful because you have a post that sounds like it's going to be something that relates to you and then turns out to be something completely different. :/

  • Make a block button, so certain users you know you have problems with can comment or see your post. :)

  • *i would have an automated message for forum admins/mods when emails are received giving an estimate of how long the expected reply wait will be...
*reply to each email in person, even if you are going to post a thread about the situation, so that the member(s) who asked about it does not feel like they are being ignored
*have a rule discussion category so people can get the answers they need regarding the rules
*make sure all mods are on the same page regarding a particular post, for instance, one mod sees that a thread is getting out of hand temporarily close it and get the opinion of the other mods or at least one other mod before closing it completely..
*before banishment the mods must hold trial where the member can present his/her case and the mods vote on the banishment
  • can't** lol
  • I would give people their freedom of speech back! Instead of the BS goin on now!
  • 1.I would not argue and be unprofessional if this was something I was doing as a professional
    2. Remain annonymous because if u don't u let ppl all in your business and they loose respect for u
    3. Not close discussions with opinions about the moderators....trust me if they didn't know who u are it wouldn't be a post about it
    4. I would be able to assess the job I am doing based on member feedback and try to make adjustments even if they hurt a little
    5. I would remain objective (arguements and call outs are never good even if members have a problem with u...ur suppose to b the professional)
  • @praying4our3rd yeah i like that one too... it would give the person time to explain their actions and the mods can investigate claims or whether it was self defense... and that way if someone questions it there will be a record of the "trial" to use to explain the situation...
  • Wow i remember how delrae and mamakat werw basically voted into their positions.
  • This app is based in amsterdam so our american rights don't apply here. But we can say anything we want unless its bashing and hateful. What is so wrong with being nice?!?!
  • If I were a mod....I would make sure my profile pic didn't look like a tranny. Lol you all know what pic I'm talking about. Lol.

  • Maybe there are other ppl besides the mods we should get rid of!! Like girls who continue drama bc they don't got anything better to do! Or girls who don't know how to not b mean!!

@Junnbuggbaby your annoying! Go away. Pleasseee and thank you :-D
  • @junnbuggbaby and this is where a block button would come in handy.. the original poster and several others disagree with you and your comments and they could block you from this post/all of their posts... also this is where mod's com in handy since we dont have that block button all that the original poster or someone offended needs to do is message one of the mods to let them know you are being out of line...

@praying4our3rd so do i... it would have gone much smoother with the kerri and jenn thing if there were definitive records of the reason(s) especially now that the mod who did the banning stepped down from her role because of an outburst at a member (no offense to anyone just stating a fact)
  • /sigh. Omg grown women being "mean" say it aint so!?! Get over it life isnt unicorns, harps and butterflies
