breastfeeding 101

Ok I really want to breastfeed and this is my first child so I really don't know what all to expect. I am planning to go back to wrk after having my baby and I'm wondering how this is gonna go. When pumping at wrk what's the best way to store this milk. And since I'm going back to wrk do I really leave it up to the babysitter to feed my baby. I know I sound really scary. I really wish I didn't have to go back to wrk but I guess I gotta do what I gotta do. Me n my husband will make it wrk somehow.

My doctor said to stop breast feeding 2 weeks before i went back to work to avoid pumping. But if u do pump at work just store it in a lunch box in the fridge

@firsttimemomct so will 4 wks of breastfeeding be fine. I kinda wanted to breastfeed a little longer.

If you pump, store the milk in the fridge. And yes, the babysitter will have to feed the baby...someone has to. Lol

I plan on breastfeeding and working. I'm goiing to pump everytime my baby feeds before I come back to work hopefully ill have a small stock pile. If you pump at work store it in a lunchbox in the fridge or a lunchbox with ice packs. Just make sure who ever is feeding baby at home defrosts the milk in warm water and NOT the microwave it breaksd down and ruins the milk so u might as well be just giving them water

Im planning on breast feeding too. My plann is to pump all day for the night. In the morning, then at lumch time then when i get home at night again.. i also plan to you formula for what im short on breast milk for

A lady I used to work with had someone bring the baby up to work so she could feed her. If u have someone who could do that that could be an option

@MrsWilliams also idk if u get any other state assistance but i get badger care and if i breastfeed i get a free breast pump i plan on breast and pump so dad can help and eventually mommy will be able to get out of the house with out baby

Both formula and breastfeeding are safe. I would give my don formula sometimes when I was out.
