Dont know what to do!!!

6 years ago i had a set of twins, I also have a 13yr old and a 9yr old. I know what they say but my 13yr old and my 9 year old slept in the bed with me. I am not a wild sleeper I barely move when i sleep. My twins slept in bed with me as well. The first night I let my twins sleep in their crib 1 of them died! I'm so paranoid because I'm scared this will happen again. I'm sure I'm not going to get any sleep after my daughter is born. I'm a nervous wreck

    Sorry that happened to you...calm down and do what u believe is best and make sure she sleeps on firm matresses...if u feeel comfortabl letting her sleep with u then that is the best place for her...follow ur instinct.

    I am sorry to hear about your loss but I don't think it had something to do with sleeping in the crib. You might talk to your doctor about it and have people keep a close eye on you cause of the baby blues after delivery. Good luck hun you are a strong woman and will be able to manage.

    They have this monitor from angelcare specifically for sids. Maybe you can be less nervous if you use something like this.

    That's just tragic. I'm so sorry that happened to you. How old were they? I wonder if they were ready for their crib yet? Maybe you could wait a little longer with your daughter who is on the way.

    He was 3 months old when this happened. I am looking into baby heart monitors that i can have around her little toe or something like what they use at the hospital. and thank you all for your kind words, I'm just so nervous.

    SIDS is a big worry of mine as well since it can happen up to age two...there are these co sleeper things at Target so if you like your baby sleeping with you you could buy one of those...it is supposed to guard them so there would be no chance in you rolling over and possibly suffocating the baby...

    I had them do an autopsy and it was SIDS, Ive been scared to have a child ever since, my husbands wants more children but i'm scared to death because of what happened

    Do whatever you feel is best and makes you happy. My son has never slept in his crib and he is now 2yrs old and just starting to sleep in his own bed. I was afraid of sids also. Im having a girl and im sure she will sleep with me also.

    The doctors are so big on babies not sleeping in bed with you but it seems to haveworked for me and my little princess Ani'lah Chanel will be right next to her mommy with daddy behind me because i dont trust him sleeping too close to her either:) I'm just saying.
