Have had majo r cravings for coffee anyone else ? I Googled it last night some say it ok some say you should only have 200mg per day I didn't drink it for my first 4 months but now I've been craving it hard. TRippen cause I don't wanna hurt bubs . BUt surely I

  • Girl I drank some this morning! My doctor said its like soda- fine in moderation, and just drink a little extra water later to balance it out! :)
  • I dont know, a lot of women has different opinions on this...it really just boils down to how you feel about caffeine and your unborn child. I have chosen to drasticlly cut back on my caffeine ...so I drink decaff coffee and limit my soda...like I said its just up to you..but DR has said that something like 200-250mg is safe for an unborn baby...

  • My doc say up to 200mg of caffine a day is fine. Even the mayo clinic says that. I did some research. If you are really craving it I would say that one cup won't hurt anything :) enjoy it

  • I have decaf tea and coffee an hardly ever have soda. However if I want a coffee an they don't have decaf then ill have a regular 1!
  • I have a small cup in the morning on the days I work I dont get the cream abd sugar how I usually lije it so I dont.drink it all but it helps to take the edge off. Its the only caffeine I drink. Way less than the 200mg a day. You coukd do decaf, or even half decaf half regular :)
  • I'm having a cup right now. =D You can either do decaf or one cup of coffee every day. Caffeine isn't a total no-no, just a 'be careful' treat. :)
  • I love my morning coffee. 1 cup a day usually everyday. My Ob said 1 cup is fine and to enjoy your pregnancy.

  • @uncaffeinated_kate I would have done that if coffee didn't make me nauseous during my first tri! But I just caught on about a month ago that I can handle the stuff again, and even though I missed it, I can't drink but one cup anyway!
