Spreading the news?

My husband and I were trying for about 9 months before a positive pregnancy test last week so we're really anxious to tell everyone. We broke and told our parents and a few close friends but how long do we wait before making a full announcement? I know its customary to wait until you're out of the first trimester but I'm only 5 wks along and don't think I can wait that long - I'm horrible with secrets!! haha What did everyone else do? Are you or did you wait? did you tell the news early on...? How early is too early for family friends and coworkers to know?

I'm having the same problem! Haha we've told immediate family and a few very close friends. I want to tell the world but I also want to make sure everything is ok w the baby. Id hate to announce it then have to unannounce. It'd break my heart. I finally have my 8wk appt today so were waiting to see what the Dr says then we'll decide when to tell everyone! Good luck!!

I'm bad with secrets to so i only lasted a week before everybody knew i was around 6 weeks when i told

We've told immediate family and close friends already. 5-6 weeks. We couldn't wait. I am, however,going to wait to officially announce.

I have the same problem! Im really bad at holding surprises. I'm 8 weeks and 3 days and I've already told everyone that matters but they each don't know that the other person knows, lol. I don't have my next appointment until the 21st which seems like years away. I'm tempted to just let everyone know since I feel like crap and all that fun stuff but sometimes I think what if im not pregnant and it's all in my head, I'd rather wait to see the baby, haha. But then I throw up and get reminded it's real. Lol

My bf is the one telling everyone. His mom found out and he told his friends and coworkers. I've told my bestfriend and like 2 other friends. I'm about 6 weeks.

I told my husband not to tell enyone 3 minutes after walking out of the doc he had already posted on face book lol

We didn't say anything until 11 wks when we had our ultrasound. We had a previous miscarriage so we were pretty cautious since we told everyone by 5 wks that time

I work in a salon and I'm close to all the girls there. I told them and my parents as soon as I found out. And my best friend. But we're going to try to wait until least 14 weeks to tell everyone else. If not at least until after my first drs appointment which will be at 9 1/2 weeks for me
